Modern games engender a particular type of relationship between a designer and a player. This course introduces the student to digital game prototyping practice; from digital sketches to functional alpha builds to playable demos, students will work with a range of game engines to develop and demonstrate applied game design skills. Digital development is a dialogue with computational tools and students will develop strategies to effectively realize innovative digital game projects across genre and across platform.

Game design and development is an interdisciplinary field, requiring collaboration between artists, designers and developers. This course intensively reproduces the contexts of commercial game development by creating teams that cross different disciplinary boundaries to engage in iterative game making practices.

Students will be taught the basics and techniques of building commercial 2D and 3D games. Strong 3D characters and character animations are keys parts of modern games. Games like “God of War” or “Call of Duty” have well defined characters that are central for users to see and control. In 3D Modelling we investigate what makes for a great game character’s design.

Our curriculum also covers: Game Theory, Storytelling, Level Design, Programming, Game Art, Cinematics, Game Interface Design, Online Multiplayer Design, Interactive Narrative, Post-Mortem Analysis and Business of Games.

Course Schedule:

Twice Weekly, 2 hours per Class. Morning, evening and Weekend Courses are available.

Cost:

3 Month Certificate: One Hundred and Thirty Thousand Naira (N130, 000) – 100% tuition must be paid before commencing class.

6 Month Diploma: Two Hundred and Ninety Five Thousand (N295, 000) – a minimum of 70% must be paid before commencing class.

Advance Diploma (One year): Nine Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N950, 000) – a minimum of 70% must be paid before commencing class.

Bonus Courses:

The Creative Entrepreneurship Program (CEP01) and Applied Art Course (DRAW1) are bonus courses for all our students, they are also mandatory.

Hostel Accommodation is available at the rate of N20, 000 monthly, payment must however be made for your entire course duration at once.

Crash This Course: You can crash this course into two weeks by taking classes for 10 days at a stretch – you will spend 5 hours each day in school. The cost for this is Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N200, 000).

Students who wish to spend additional 3 months for advance skills and internship with our designers should enrol for the 6 MONTH CREATIVE DIPLOMA (this comes with a second course which could be any of WEB & GRAPHICS DESIGN, MOBILE-APP DESIGN, ANIMATION OR VIDEO EDITING). And those who want to study for one year period should enrol for the ONE YEAR ADVANCE DIPLOMA COURSE – (this comes with three other courses, which ccould be any three of WEB DESIGN, MOBILE APP DESIGN, ANIMATION OR VIDEO EDITING).
