This course is designed to introduce students to the world of fashion.  In Introduction to Fashion Design, students will explore the importance of clothing, all elements of the fashion industry, fashion evolution, elements and principles of design, figure analysis, wardrobe planning and principles of clothing construction.

In the first module, you learn the basics concepts of designing, introduction to various part of the sewing machine, different types of tools used for designing, how to cut patterns on paper, elements of fashion, the evolution of fashion, fashion cycle, basic stitches etc.

In the second module, you start with the psychology of colours. Exploring the history of various costumes in different parts of the world helps you to create and learn the principles of design. Then comes different types of sleeves, collars, pockets, necklines, pleats and tucks.

In the last and final module, you are taught to finish a garment adding the final elements which adds beauty to the costume. This includes decorative stitches, adding pleat, pockets, beads and stones, tucks, necklines, plackets with a designer touch. By the end of this course each student is capable of designing their own garment from the scratch till the finishing work.

Course Schedule:

Twice Weekly, 2 hours per Class. Morning, evening and Weekend Courses are available.

Cost:

3 Month Certificate: Seventy Five Thousand Naira (N75, 000) – 100% tuition must be paid must be paid before commencing classes.

6 Month Diploma: Two Hundred and Ninety Five Thousand (N295, 000) – a minimum of 70% must be paid before commencing classes.

Advance Diploma (1 Year): Nine Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N950, 000) – a minimum of 70% must be paid before commencing classes.

Bonus Courses:

The Creative Entrepreneurship Program (CEP01) and Fine Art Course (DRAW1) are bonus courses for all our students, they are also mandatory.

Accommodation:

Hostel Accommodation is available at the rate of N20, 000 monthly, payment must however be made for your entire course duration at once.

Crash This Course: You can crash this course into two weeks by taking classes for 10 days at a stretch – you will spend 5 hours each day in school. The cost for this is One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N150, 000).

Note: Diploma & Advance Levels

Students who wish to spend additional 3 months for advance skills and internship with our designers should enrol for the 6 MONTH CREATIVE DIPLOMA COURSE ( this goes along with any other course of your choice, but must be in Fashion, Beauty or Crafts faculties). And those who want to study for one year period should enrol for the ADVANCE DIPLOMA IN FASHION & BEAUTY  ( this goes along with three other courses of your choice, but must be in Fashion, Beauty or Crafts faculties).
